Can't even help it

I'm starting a scrapbook for our daughter documenting the pregnancy and hopefully (if I'm dedicated enough to stick with it) her development throughout childhood. I'll post pictures later today if I'm thorough enough to finish any one page instead of just starting a bunch.

I went to a craft store yesterday and the sight of all of those cute paper cutouts and baby-themed stickers completely motivated me.

Okay, I'm off to cut, glue and place!

I wanted so badly to do that, but it wasn't practical for me. All my photos are digital and I don't have time to cut and paste all that stuff w/ my son LoL So, I actually do scrapbooking digitally.

I say we start a bet poll on how long THAT will last, when baby arrives. My best to you, but come on...

Although, it is your first kid, so maybe you stand a decent chance...

I think this is a great idea. I made a scrapbook for my daughter--the first page has a picture of her very first breath! I was really good about keeping up with it until she turned 5 or so. Now I'm making a pregnancy journal/scrapbook for my son due in September and it's inspired me to catch my daughter's up. Good luck...it's TONS of fun!

P.S. Make sure you scan your ultrasound pics and get them printed on photo paper. That paper they print them on deterioates quickly.

I read someone else who has three kids under the age of 10, and she works full-time, and she still keeps scrapbooks for all three kids.

Just to throw that tidbit in before anyone starts a "bet poll." (can you say "pessimist" girls and boys?)

That's great! I love scrapbooking, when I'm motivated enough.
Can't wait for pictures!

I love scrapbooking--- I made one for most of my high school experience and I'm not sure if I want to keep my college one in the same book or separate them. Anyway, I really enjoy it. Have fun!

You'll love that later in her life. Enjoy it :)

I hope you use your blog posts in the scrapbook! Your writing is truly amazing and will be such a treasure for her to look back on when she goes through this book!

That's such a great idea! I wish my mom had kept a "baby book" or a scrapbook for me, I'm sure your daughter will love to look back at her book later on in life.

Awww, scrapbooking is awesome! I love arts & crafts, although I never really do it, except for something very occasional.

I think it's great that you're going to document your daughters life. It's especially nice if you can take a picture of your daugther every month until her first birthday to see how much she grows. My cousin did that with her son, and I think that's very special.

Also for baby scrapbooking paper you should try a store called, "JoAnne's" (if there's one near you it's an Arts & crafts store and it's nice) where they have a nice selection. Me & my aunt went there so she could buy papers to start a babyshower project where she was making babyshorts of different blue papers.

Well take care, Kelly.

Scrapbooking is my favorite hobby! It is time-consuming, and expensive... but so worth it :-) Can't wait to see pictures!
