More nuptuals

Today we're off for yet another wedding -- this one in Harrisburg, our state's capitol. Jerry's cousin is getting married and it's bound to be a good time because most of his family will be there.

And Sunday, while we're there, Jerry and I are going to stop at Babies R Us and look at cribs and changing tables and hopefully find a more affordable upholstered rocking chair. Hopefully. (But I have a feeling I'll just have to drag Jer out of the toy department. I'm pretty sure the main reason he wanted to have a child was so he could play with all the cool toys.)

I think I play more with my niece's toys than she does. Damn proud of it, too. Baby toys rock ;]

Have a great time at the wedding and baby furniture hunting. And toy stores are pretty cool. That's the reason why I love going to F.A.O. Swhartz everytime I go down-town just so I can get a look a the old-fashioned toys, in their vintage section. Kids, don't know how lucky they have it. Toys rock!

Take care, Kelly.

Hee! As if any of us really need a reason, but it provides an excellent cover! BTW, just noticed you cleverly expanded and updated your "About Me" corner.

Hey Kelly!
Steve and I have pretty much got our baby's nursery furnished and guess how much we spent? A grand total of about $170. We found a 2nd hand beautiful solid maple convertable crib and mattress for $150 (actually, they were asking $200, but I got them down to $150). My parents ended up paying for it for us. Check out www.kijiji.com. We are using Steve's dresser from when he was a kid - solid wood - and putting a changing pad on top to make a change table. We got a 2nd hand glider rocker from my friend. We got a cradle from my parents who got it at a garage sale (solid wood, maple). And I found a Medela pump in style electric breast pump on Kijiji as well, for $150 (regular about $300). (It sounds gross, but the pieces can be sterilized very easily, and replacement parts can be bought from Medela). Just some other avenues to think about!
