Somebody needs a refresher course on animal sounds

Conversation while showing Allison a book filled with animal pictures:

Jer: This is a frog. A frog goes ...

Me: Ribbit, ribbit.

Jer: This is a cow. A cow goes ...

Me: Moo.

Jer: This is a pig. A pig goes ...

Me: Oink! Oink! Oink!

Jer: Here's a bear. A bear goes ... GRIZZLE, GRIZZLE.

...

Me: Grizzle, grizzle?

Jer: Yeah.

Me: Not grr? ... Grizzle?

Jer: Why not?

Me: Or how about "growl?"

Jer: I stand by grizzle.

Me: Hell, maybe even "roar" would've been more appropriate.

Jer: Grizzle's GOOD.

Me: Is it even a word?

...

Me: You realize that if she rides the short bus to school, it's totally going to be your fault.

Why would it be called a "grizzly bear" if it didn't grizzle??????

That combined with those blocks with the wrong colored animal might have doomed your daughter for the short bus ;-)

Maybe it's a ghetto bear? For shizzle my grizzle.

Did the book say grizzle, or did Jerry say grizzle?

Haha! Allison must have thought, "Mommy and Daddy are nuts!" ;o)

Grizzle, my a..! Actually, "leslieann" said it even better above, "For shizzle my grizzle!"

Never heard that "short bus" term used before, either.
