My timing is impeccable

I just got my period for the first time in 16 months.

So I raided my supply of feminine hygiene products to discover a solitary tampon resting at the bottom of the box.

And it's a national holiday.

And all the stores are closed.

And now I remember how much having your period sucks.

16 months?! I'm jealous. I always thought you started again the month after you gave birth...learn something new every day =)

You guys forget that I live in a small Wal-Mart-free town! Although, I’m considering driving the 45 minutes — gas prices be damned.

That is exactly why I got an IUD...I don't have a period on it and it's just as effective as tubal ligation only completely and EASILY reversable.

Maybe your period won't be too bad though since you're still nursing (I assume).

Is this because she has weaned or is she eating more solid food and requiring less from you? I remember between baby #3 and #4 I only had 2 periods.

Its an unusual feeling to have "the clock" which is always there, but is submerged during your breastfeeding.

What an annoying surprise.

RYC: Wow, that's interesting. And news to me. Good information to know though, to pass along to others, if it ever comes up. =)

Take, care.

Oh suck...

It's been 20 months and I haven't gotten mine yet. I dread the day they come back.

I would be perfectly happy to never have another period.
