Such a long story, there isn't enough room on the Internet

DSC_0227-2
My new glasses. Although, I think the prescription is wrong, so I
gave up on wearing them after a few hours last night. Which stinks
because this is the first new pair I've had in almost six years. Back
to the optometrist's office. Again. For the fortieth time since
November. But the good news is that I love them and they don't
fall off my face and wobble like my old glasses. That I can see out of.

Anytime I get a new prescription, I have to gradually build up to wearing them all day. The first few days they usually make my eyes hurt and feel blurry. Once I've had time to completely adjust, they're fine.

They're really cute! I haven't purchased a new pair of glasses in.... I don't even know how long. It's been at least six years if not more. I would love a new pair but frames are so expensive : (. Enjoy yours though!

I wear contacts daily and my glasses at night. The prescriptions are the same but I always feel that my eyesight is worse when I'm wearing the glasses.

I like them! When I first saw the photo I did a double take. Didn't even look like you for a moment there.

Look great! I too have been putting new ones off as well. And always adjusting. Amazing how before many people, (at least here in the northeast), receievd eyecare benefits, the cost of new glasses although expensive, was say "X." Then after eyecare coverage became popular, especially with unions and government employees, teachers, etc., the cost of glasses automatically went up by the amount of new glasses coverage, "Y". So now we pay "X+Y" and many think they are getting a break because they have insurance!!! Another example of how insurance actually drives costs higher. Never had or have the coverage, either. :o(

I recently got new glasses. I thought the prescription was wrong too...so I stopped wearing them. Then I got annoyed with always wearing contacts so I started wearing them again - my eyes got used to the new prescription and I can see great now...

maybe you need some adjustment time.

Such a hot librarian you are!! =)

But you KNOW you can't just say you've been to the optometrist a butt-load of times in three months and leave it at that. We need to hear the whole story to decide whether or not it's "too long".

It can take up to a week to fully get used to a new rx.

I love them! That is the exact style I want to get when I get new glasses.

You look great.

Yowza! Those are great. Hope you get used or get them fixed soon.

Someone else said they have to adjust between contacts and glasses, I always see better out of my glasses than contacts. And when I got the ones I have now last year it took a while to get used to them because I wasn't a full step up but there was no in-between prescription, so they were a tad stronger than necessary. Now I'm convinced they're not strong enough. Though that would be sad because I paid a lot of money for my awesome frames. Maybe when I need to I'll just replace the lenses.

YAY a photo of you! You look great. Sorry to hear about the glasses though. Hopefully they get it right on the 41st time. ;o)

Question: what made you go back to glasses?

Take, care.
