I'm going to blame it on Alli because she helped stir

I made my own batch of Amish Friendship Bread today.

And I would NOT be a good friend if I passed it along. Because someone might break a tooth.

Try using bread flour. That will always make a lighter bread....and if you have a KitchenAid mixer (I do, the professional model, couldn't cater without it) you can use the dough hook and get spectacular results.

Just try again. You'll get it!

Yes, her fault (LOL); I believe too much mixing or "working" bread dough makes for "tough" bread. One can always dunk it, though!
