Next she'll tackle the MMA circuit

We took Allison to get a flu shot this afternoon, and I was fully prepared for a meltdown of epic proportions.

When the nurse came in, she got Alli to laugh by making silly sounds while rubbing her leg with an alcohol wipe. Then, when the nurse asked me to hold her arms down, I braced for the screaming.

Here’s what happened instead:

Nurse: Okay, this will be a little poke.

Alli: Ow.

...

Alli (while laring at her): All done?

Nurse: Yes.

Alli: Good.

Not to overuse an internet hit word at the moment, but as a parent I have to say:

That is epic.

Sounds like she's definitely your's and Jerry's ... somehow, even without knowing Jerry, I can imagine he's laid back to the point even that wouldn't phase him.

I LOVE when that happens! I've found as they get older they find the shots less tramatizing \

Whoa! That's amazing. I think I complained more when I got my flu shot last week. Seriously. That's hilarious. It doesn't even sound like she's just a toddler, it sounds like she's like 15 and going "Mom, are we done here? Great. Let's go."

(I got a flu shot in one arm and a tetanus booster in the other and the next day I couldn't lift the tetanus arm enough to wash my hair with both hands. Those are the worst.)

I will remember her good example next time I get a shot. (I hope.) Teme

I was fully prepared for a fit when Ryan got his first vaccinations recently, but he just cried a little and was fine after. I guess kids will surprise us.

Wow.

Just....wow.

She's so 15 years old. (agreed with a previous comment)

That's so great! :)

That is adorable!
I believe instead of laring you meant glaring though...it's been driving me crazy.
